Daily update allows users to receive a short, useful notification each day from an Assistant-enabled device. This feature is most commonly used to send reminders about important events or tasks.
The user invokes one of your Action’s intents that you configure as a daily update, and then follows a prompt for subscribing to the notifications. Typically, the daily update registration prompt appears as a suggestion chip mid-conversation, or at the end of the conversation, after the user has successfully exited your Action.
When adding the daily update subscription flow to an existing action, make sure that the content of the resulting dialog is different and useful every day. Otherwise, the user may unsubscribe quickly. Also, consider avoiding repeated suggestions to register for daily updates by showing them right after your user has demonstrated their interest in the action and how it might benefit them.
